Joseph Smith participated in a meeting held for the purpose of giving blessings to 119 men who had helped build the Kirtland Temple.

Joseph Smith met with members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and proposed that they take their "first mission through the Eastern States, to the Atlantic Ocean."

Joseph Smith spoke for three and a half hours on the subject "This Is My Beloved Son: Hear Ye Him."

Joseph Smith attended a meeting to raise money for the Kirtland Temple and pledged $500.
August 28, 1835
Joseph Smith preached to the Saints on the duty of wives.
