Wright v. Whitney and Johnson: A writ commanding the sheriff to take the defendant and hold him responsible to answer the complaint capias ad respondendum was issued against Sidney Rigdon, Joseph Smith, Oliver Cowdery, Newel K. Whitney, and John Johnson. They were commanded to appear at the Geauga Court of Common Pleas on October 24 to answer Justus Wright's assumpsit plea.
