City of Nauvoo v. Davis: Amos Davis's appeal from the Nauvoo Municipal Court conviction of "abusive and ridiculous language" was reversed by the Circuit Court. Chauncey Higbee was Davis's attorney and Robert D. Foster signed his appeal bond.
